Well I have some more doughnut ideas to try out, I have only made one of our 23 doughnut ideas we brainstormed while working. I'm thinking the next one I'll try is a peanut butter cream doughnut and then do my twist of a Boston cream doughnut. I like being creative, especially with food. I have worked in kitchens my whole working life, I want to be able to share my love of good food with others and opening my own shop is the best way to come up with new ideas to do that. I have no professional training and everything I do is through trial and error. I had some rave reviews from family and friends about my first yeast doughnut attempt and hopefully soon I can here what others think of my concoctions. The funniest part about all of this is it all spawned from a conversation one night at work that was a bout a funny name for a doughnut shop and that turned into coming up with doughnut ideas another night. That then led to putting pen to paper and writing down all of our ideas, no matter how out there, they are worth trying. I then took it upon myself to start making doughnuts, I think that if I can make the doughnuts and come up with the recipes, then I will be able to teach my future cohorts how to do the same. It's a long shot, but I think it is achievable.
