So here they are, I figured out the dough issue and they came out nice:
They look pretty boring, at least they do to me, but they taste great. It was one of the more intricate doughnuts yet. With a peanut butter cream filling that has crushed chocolate covered pretzels in it. Then there are the pretzels on top that have a homemade caramel drizzled on top. Next week I will be making a chocolate cake doughnut with a vanilla glaze.

some pictures of the latest doughnut and whats coming
Sorry about the delayed post, been a bit under the weather and with the last doughnut not coming out perfect I didn't have too much motivation to post the pictures. Some of the doughnuts this time around didn't cook fully, I think they rose too much due to me being unable to cook them immediately after going into work (that can happen since my job comes first right now). With some troubleshooting hopefully this won't happen again, but I guess some bumps are going to happen in this road. So here are the pictures, they are my take on the traditional boston cream doughnut:
The chocolate glaze and the filling were perfect so this doughnut was a 2/3 success.
The next doughnut will be a chocolate covered pretzel doughnut with peanut butter filling chocolate covered pretzels and a caramel drizzle on top....kind of like a take five candy bar.

maple glaze and candied bacon
These are some pictures of this weeks doughnuts...
These were a maple glazed doughnut with bourbon brown sugar candied bacon on top. they were very good, the best part were the doughnut holes though, they went fast! The dough this week was based off of a different recipe and I think it turned out great, now I can send less time worrying about the dough and focus on the ideas for new and different doughnuts!

Next doughnut
The next doughnut should be pretty good. It involves bourbon, bacon, and maple. I am also going to change up my dough recipe quite a bit based on some new ideas. We'll see how it goes next Saturday!

Trying something new
I wasn't too pleased with the way the dough turned out last week, so this week I'm trying something different. Pictures to come early Sunday morning, this weeks doughnut from our list is cherry cheesecake.
